Career Opportunity and Primary Roles / Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain simulation software for flight control and embedded aerospace systems. Develop high-performance C/C++ software to support Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) testing environments. Build and enhance simulation environments for automated testing, demonstrations, and rapid prototyping. Design, deploy, maintain, and optimize virtualization environments supporting SIL, HIL, and MIL testing activities. Develop test benches and support integration, verification, and validation (IVV) activities. Collaborate with systems, software, controls, and verification teams to ensure alignment between requirements and simulation results. Debug and resolve issues related to software modules, model integration, and simulation execution. Develop and maintain automation tools and scripts to improve test efficiency and coverage. Produce technical documentation including requirements traceability, test reports, analyses, and user guides. Ensure effective integration between system engineering, software development, and testing activities. Contribute to software architecture, test infrastructure improvements, and industry best practices. Act as a technical reference and mentor for junior engineers. Provide technical leadership on complex engineering activities and projects.

Required Competencies

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Strong proficiency in C and/or C++ programming. Experience developing and maintaining complex software systems with long product lifecycles. Strong understanding of multithreaded and concurrent programming. Experience with Python or other scripting languages. Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture and real-time operating systems. Experience with virtualization technologies for embedded or mixed-criticality systems. Experience with Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), and/or Model-in-the-Loop (MIL) testing environments. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing environments. Knowledge of model-based development and simulation environments is considered an asset. Knowledge of avionics communication protocols is considered an asset. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship.

Miscellaneous Requirements

The work model is hybrid (minimum 3 days per week at the office). Professional proficiency in spoken and written French is mandatory. Occasional travel may be required based on project and business needs.

Knowledge of English is required to communicate and work with customers outside the province of Quebec. / La connaissance de l'anglais est requise pour communiquer et travailler avec nos clients situés à l'extérieur de la province de Québec.
