About the role

The Quality Technician tests and inspects products including welded parts at various stages of production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties. Review daily supplier non-conforming parts and work with Quality engineer for disposition. Communicates quality concerns or issues to production associates. Assist with prototype builds before shipment included gage r&r and safe launch checklist. Assists in the training of production associates for quality related matters. Assist as line side QT as needed. Process daily scrap through trans4M and maintain controls of parts going in and out of the quarantine cage.

Pay Rate $27.80

  • Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
  • Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics.
  • Records test data, applying basic statistical quality control procedures (SPC, MSA/GR&R).
  • Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
  • Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics.

  • Perform daily process audits of all production weld cells per audit procedures
  • Prepare graphs or charts of data or enter data into computer for analysis.
  • Performs dock audits per the quality plan.
  • Manage LPA process audit with weekly assignments and records.

High School diploma or general education degree (GED).

Five years of experience as a Quality Technician or a related role.
