About The Firm This nationally established architecture and interior design practice has built a strong reputation delivering complex commercial, industrial, and public sector projects across Canada. With multiple studios across Eastern Canada and an expanding presence in British Columbia, the firm has successfully delivered projects throughout the Lower Mainland for many years .
The practice is known for thoughtful design, strong technical delivery, and collaborative project processes. Their work spans industrial facilities, commercial developments, public infrastructure, transportation related facilities, and community focused projects , requiring close coordination between clients, consultants, and project teams.
As their presence in Western Canada continues to grow, the firm is expanding its Vancouver presence and strengthening its regional footprint while maintaining close collaboration with their established teams in Eastern Canada.

You will lead projects locally while collaborating closely with established architectural teams in Eastern Canada. The position offers strong autonomy and visibility, allowing you to work directly with clients, guide project delivery, and contribute to the continued growth of the firm’s presence in the region.
The role begins as a remote position, with ongoing collaboration and coordination with national teams. As the firm continues to grow its Vancouver presence, there is meaningful opportunity for long term growth, leadership, and influence in shaping the local studio.
About The Role Our client is seeking a Project Architect registered with the AIBC , with 10+ years of experience working within architecture firms and strong experience delivering projects across all phases.
The ideal candidate will have a varied project background , with solid experience in commercial and industrial projects , along with exposure to public sector work. You will work closely with clients across British Columbia while coordinating with architectural teams located across Canada.
This role requires someone comfortable guiding projects from early design and client engagement through documentation and construction administration. You will be responsible for coordinating teams, maintaining project momentum, and ensuring that design intent and technical execution remain aligned throughout delivery.
Business development experience is considered an asset, though not required. Architects who enjoy building relationships with clients and contributing to studio growth will find strong opportunity within this role. Key Responsibilities
- Lead architectural projects through all phases including pre design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration
- Participate in client meetings, stakeholder discussions, and early project planning sessions
- Coordinate internal design teams and external consultants including structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers
- Collaborate closely with project teams located in Eastern Canada to maintain project alignment and delivery
- Oversee drawing production and review documentation for quality, coordination, and constructability
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to technologists and intermediate staff
- Manage project schedules, deliverables, and internal coordination
- Support construction phase services including RFI responses, site instructions, shop drawing review, and site reviews
- Coordinate with contractors and consultants during construction to resolve technical issues
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and contribute to the continued growth of the firm’s presence in Western Canada
Qualifications
- Registered Architect with the AIBC
- 10+ years of professional experience within architecture firms
- Strong experience across all project phases from early design through construction administration
- Demonstrated project experience in commercial and industrial architecture
- Experience working on public sector projects is considered an asset
- Experience leading projects and coordinating complex consultant teams
- Proficiency in Revit and BIM based workflows
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with remote project teams
- Interest in contributing to the continued growth of the firm’s Western Canadian presence
