Job Description
The Senior Reliability Engineer plays a critical leadership role in advancing asset reliability, equipment performance, and maintenance excellence across manufacturing operations. This individual will apply advanced reliability methodologies, leads multi-site initiatives, and optimizes Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems to drive measurable gains in uptime, OEE, and cost efficiency.

Job Responsibilities
- Lead and standardize reliability engineering programs across manufacturing facilities, including FMECA, RCA, PM optimization, and precision maintenance.
- Optimize the EAM/CMMS system (e.g., Maximo) to ensure data integrity, asset hierarchy alignment, accurate work order tracking, and analytics.
- Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance strategies to reduce downtime and extend asset lifespan.
- Conduct asset criticality assessments to guide maintenance strategies, spare parts stocking levels, and risk-based decision-making.
- Lead failure investigations using structured methodologies such as 5-Why, fishbone, and RCM-based RCA.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, procurement, and maintenance teams to drive equipment performance improvements.
- Train and mentor plant reliability engineers, planners, technicians, and maintenance supervisors on reliability tools and best practices.
- Analyze equipment downtime data to identify trends and prioritize improvement initiatives that support OEE targets.
- Support capital projects through reliability input during design review, commissioning, and startup stages.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma principles to eliminate waste and optimize maintenance workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, reliability engineering, or asset management within a manufacturing environment.
- Expert-level proficiency with EAM/CMMS platforms, preferably IBM Maximo.
- Strong knowledge of reliability engineering tools such as RCA, RCM, FMEA/FMECA, and condition-based monitoring.
- Experience implementing predictive technologies (vibration, thermography, lubrication analysis, ultrasound).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), MiniTab, AutoCAD, and data visualization tools.
- Lean Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt preferred).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Ability to lead change and influence teams across multiple sites without direct reporting authority.
- Some travel to various sites in North America will be required
