Our expectations
The National Director – Pro Fulfillment is responsible for the strategic oversight, leadership, and operational excellence of all Direct Delivery Center operations across Canada, locations which provide lumber and building materials to our growing base of professional clients from coast to coast. This individual will ensure the DDC network operates efficiently, meets performance KPIs, aligns with national business goals, and delivers exceptional service to customers and partners.
This is a senior leadership role requiring strong cross-functional collaboration, operational expertise, and people management skills. The successful candidate will bring a track record of scaling operations, leading distributed teams, and driving continuous improvement across logistics, delivery, and/or service fulfillment operations.
Your role

Define and execute the national strategy for the Pro Fulfillment through Direct Delivery Centers in alignment with corporate goals.

Identify growth opportunities, operational improvements, and technological innovations to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Develop and manage the annual DDC budget, including forecasting and cost control initiatives.
-
Oversee day-to-day operations of all DDC locations across Canada, ensuring optimal performance, resource allocation, and service delivery.

Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including delivery timelines, cost per order, service quality, and customer feedback.
-
Implement best practices, policies, and procedures to standardize and scale operations nationally.
-
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing national operations team, including regional managers, supervisors, and frontline staff.
-
Foster a culture of accountability, safety, diversity, and continuous improvement.
-
Support recruitment, training, and retention strategies to ensure the DDC network is staffed with skilled personnel.
-
Work closely with senior leadership, logistics partners, customer service teams, and other internal departments to ensure alignment and service excellence.

Act as the primary point of contact for DDC-related matters in Canada, providing insights and reporting to the executive team.

Manage vendor and partner relationships as required to support delivery operations.
-
Develop sustainable and effective relationships with pro hub store locations.
-
Ensure compliance with all federal and provincial regulations related to transportation, labor, health & safety, and privacy.
-
Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
-
Regular travel within Canada to DDC sites (approx. 30-40%)
The qualifications we are looking for
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related field (Master’s preferred).
-
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in logistics, distribution, delivery services, or related operational roles.
-
Demonstrated experience managing large-scale, multi-site operations in Canada.
-
Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and performance metrics.
-
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
-
Proven ability to lead through change, drive strategic initiatives, and inspire large teams.
-
Proficient in both French and English
