Salary Range: $44.66 - $57.99 /hour

The Charge Technologist will provide leadership and direction to the interdisciplinary team ensuring the success of the Ultrasound service. Accountable for day to day operations and coordination of human and equipment resources, the Charge Technologist will utilize their clinical and leadership skills to ensure quality of patient care, efficiency and cost effectiveness for the Ultrasound service.

Essential Qualifications

  • Graduate of a recognized Medical Ultrasound Program
  • Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario with a specialty in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a Registered Ultrasound Technologist
  • Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA
  • Ability and commitment to act as a supervisor under OHSA
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development
  • Impeccable organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience communicating effectively with internal and external customers
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, particularly in team development, facilitation, and operational decision making
  • Demonstrated expertise in providing excellent customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and assume personal accountability
  • Demonstrated ability in creative problem solving
  • Demonstrated initiative to inspire others through progress and difficult issues
  • Demonstrated adaptability as well as strong organizational skills to meet the changing needs of the area
  • Demonstrated personal and professional accountability and initiative to achieve and ensure high quality examinations
  • Ability to implement process improvements and program evaluation
  • A commitment to complete other educational requirements as deemed necessary to support the Ultrasound service

Preferred Qualifications

  • Member of Sonography Canada
  • Proficiency in French would be an asset
  • Previous participation and experience in research an asset

Teaching and Research

  • St Joseph's Health Care London through its affiliation with Western University and Fanshawe College is a leading research and teaching hospital. As an employee of St Joseph's, you will be expected to engage in role related teaching and research activities in addition to any of your clinical duties

Immunization Requirements

  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps rubella, varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, COVID-19 and influenza.
  • Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
