Job Duties
Reporting to the Manager of International Education, the International Student Recruitment Assistant is to support the efforts of the student recruitment and student engagement functions of the International Education Team. Acting as an ambassador, the International Student Recruitment Assistant must be currently enrolled full-time student of Saskatchewan Polytechnic. The primary purpose is to engage with new and existing international students, discuss their experiences in SaskPolytech, Saskatchewan, and Canada alike, while also assisting with basic data entry and pre-populated emails.
- Act as peer support by calling all new applicants to ensure they are prepared to study in Canada
- Social Media initiatives and engaging with prospective and current international students.
- Assist with daily reports, data entry and updates in existing reports
- Triage prospective and current international student emails with template responses
- When possible, assist with logistical support for International Education student events, including, but not limited to, orientation, airport pickup and international student advisor presentations.
- Basic office support such as stuffing envelopes, compiling information packages, setting-up and taking-down of meeting rooms, photocopying and related tasks.
- Assist International Education with student orientation and other presentation.
- Other duties as assigned.
