You as an Operations Manager will: Provide daily leadership and direction to Supervisors and frontline teams across maintenance and building operations Ensure effective execution of preventative maintenance (PM) and reactive work in line with SLA/KPI expectations Monitor service performance, ensuring compliance with hospital operational and contractual requirements Drive improved responsiveness, reliability, and quality of service delivery Lead performance management, coaching, and discipline processes in collaboration with People and Culture. Manage operational budgets related to labour, overtime, and subcontractors Improve span-of-control effectiveness and accountability at the frontline Ensure effective daily and weekly planning routines, including work prioritization and scheduling Ensure compliance Healthcare accreditation requirements, and P3 contractual obligations Promote a strong safety culture and incident prevention approach Support the Plant Manager with regulatory compliance on critical building systems and operations Act as primary operational contact for internal stakeholders and hospital representatives Support issue escalation, resolution, and communication Lead root cause analysis on operational failures and performance gaps Is this role right for you? Minimum 5–10 years in Facilities Management or building operations Post-secondary education in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field is preferred Trade certification (Electrician, Millwright, HVAC, etc.) is strongly preferred Experience in a healthcare or acute care environment Experience in multi-trade maintenance operations (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing) Experience managing supervisors and large operational teams The salary range for this position is $135,000 - $145,000 EllisDon is proud to provide this unique career opportunity that provides continuous learning, opportunity for growth, and a competitive compensation package within an environment that is committed to inclusion and respects diversity.
