About the role
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Supply Chain plans, organizes, and oversees all activities related to the company’s procurement and supplier management. This strategic role aims to ensure an efficient flow of goods while optimizing inventory levels. The Director’s mission is to identify the most cost-effective sources of supply, negotiate purchasing terms, maintain long-term business relationships with key suppliers, anticipate demand, and proactively adjust purchases and inventory to meet the needs of the company and its customers.
In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To
Lead and support the procurement team in achieving its objectives (composed of 2 department heads, 1 buyer, and 4 account managers) Manage and optimize procurement processes to reduce inventory and improve supply chain performance Ensure that necessary inventory is available in a timely manner to meet the needs of external customers Prepare and update demand forecasts to anticipate procurement needs and adjust purchasing plans accordingly Define operational objectives and strategies related to suppliers, lead negotiations with suppliers (pricing, agreements), and maintain excellent partnership relationships with them Participate in supplier performance evaluations by analyzing relevant performance indicators (lead times, costs, quality) to identify areas for improvement and ensure rigorous follow-up Monitor the quality of products supplied by vendors, in coordination with internal product development teams, to ensure that products comply with company standards and customer expectations

With the following skills and qualities, you will thrive in this role:
Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field Significant experience (approximately 10 years) in a procurement and logistics management role Proficiency in best practices for supply chain management, inventory management, and procurement (in-depth knowledge of supply chain principles) Strong communication and negotiation skills Bilingualism in French and English required to manage international partnerships with primarily English-speaking suppliers Proven leadership and team management skills; ability to collaborate effectively with a focus on continuous improvement Strong analytical and organizational skills; focused on problem-solving and making decisions based on data and performance metrics Valid passport and availability for occasional international travel
