About the Role
SoCreative is growing fast and we're looking for a hybrid Business Development and Customer Project Manager to help drive that growth. You'll take inbound customer demonstration requests generated by our US advertising and run proactive outreach into the mid-market and enterprise segment. You'll carry the relationship forward, onboarding new customers and managing their projects through delivery, working closely with our Creative Team. Alongside our founders, you'll help lay the groundwork for a team of future sales and/or project management hires. As we scale, this role is expected to split into two, giving you a real hand in shaping what those functions and growth look like.
What You'll Do
Business Development & Sales Own the full sales cycle end-to-end: prospecting, qualifying, demoing, proposing, and closing. Respond to and convert inbound demo requests generated through our advertising. Proactively prospect and call into the mid-market and enterprise segment to build new pipeline. Help shape our go-to-market strategy alongside the founding team.
Customer Onboarding & Account Management
Own the handoff from closed deal to onboarded customer, setting new accounts up for success from day one. Serve as the ongoing point of contact for your customer base, managing the relationship post-sale. Define clear handoffs and responsibilities as the customer base grows, in partnership with the founders.
Project Management
Manage active customer projects from intake through delivery, coordinating stakeholders and timelines. Track project status, flag risks early, and keep customers and internal teams aligned on deadlines. Bring structure and consistency to the customer project workflow as volume increases.
Team & Market Building
Act as our founding team member on the ground, representing the company in-market. Help recruit, train, and mentor future sales and/or project management hires as the team grows. Partner with leadership to establish a regular touchpoint and working rhythm that bridges time zones.
What We're Looking For
Required Proven experience running a full sales cycle: prospecting, qualifying, demos, proposals, and closing, ideally with mid-market or enterprise customers. Customer project or account management experience: owning a customer journey from intake through delivery or handoff. Comfortable operating in a small or lean team environment and working directly with founders. Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance active selling with ongoing customer and project responsibilities. Proficiency with HubSpot (or a similar CRM), Slack, and Google Workspace or Microsoft Suite. Based in or willing to be based in Toronto or Vancouver; comfortable working remotely and asynchronously across time zones. Adaptable, proactive, and excited to help build a function from the ground up rather than step into a fully defined process.
Nice to Have
Experience managing creative or agency-style projects (multiple concurrent projects, creative stakeholders, brand deliverables). Prior experience helping define or co-build a go-to-market strategy in a new market. Experience mentoring or onboarding junior sales or PM hires.
How We Work
Because our team is distributed across time zones, we don't expect or want fully async work. We'll establish at least one regular, recurring touchpoint to keep things connected, and lean on async tools for everything else.
Growth Path
This role is deliberately hybrid because we're still small. As our client base grows, we expect to split this position into dedicated Sales and Project Management roles, and the person in this seat will be first in line to help design, and potentially lead, one of those functions.
