About the role

Type of position: Regular

Your future role on our team You’ll report to the Product Manager, IT Corporate Solutions, and play an active role in developing our platforms and in the day-to-day activities of supporting, analyzing, configuring and maintaining proper system operation.

Your main objective will be to advise and support the Finance teams by applying your strong business expertise in commercial, financial and accounting aspects. In addition to understanding how changes affect financial systems, you'll lead design phases and deliver key initiatives.

You’ll work closely with the firm’s stakeholders (project management, human resources, business development), as well as with your own team and other IT groups, including development, business intelligence (BI), infrastructure and the Halo Service Centre.

  • Be involved in the evolution of BBA’s new enterprise resource planning platform (Maconomy)
  • Help develop and optimize financial and operational solutions
  • Advise the Finance and Accounting department in defining their needs and guide them in choosing appropriate solutions by identifying alternatives, making recommendations and producing a rollout plan
  • Provide business teams with functional support in their daily operations and suggest improvement opportunities
  • Configure applications to meet business needs and processes
  • Process tickets for projects, change requests and bugs
  • Ensure solutions follow standard practices and procedures
  • Establish and perform unit, integration and acceptance test plans, coordinate their execution with super users and get their feedback before and after deployment
  • Work with other team members and the user community
  • Analyze, process, convert and clean data
  • Provide effort estimates for IT planning
  • Prepare training materials and help with training activities for super users, where required

Summary Of Certifications And Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field
  • At least five years of experience as a business analyst
  • At least three years of relevant experience with an ERP (Finance and Accounting module)
  • Participation as a functional analyst in major agile projects
  • Excellent communication skills to gather clear requirements, synthesize them and present them effectively
  • Advanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projects
  • Asset: HR system support
  • Asset: experience in a services firm
  • Asset: knowledge of Maconomy (Deltek)
  • Asset: experience with Azure DevOps
