About the role
We are a local Construction Contractor that specializes in commercial projects offering an opportunity for an Accounting Clerk to join our fast-paced, customer oriented team in our office. We are looking for someone who is accurate and efficient, driven and resourceful in all aspects of financial activities. The right person for this role is someone who loves rising to new challenges, with a knack of problem-solving and communication. Please note this is not a remote job, office hours are 8:00am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities:
- Accounting experience in the construction industry preferred
- Accounts Payable; reply to vendor inquires, data entry for invoices, create cheque runs
- Accounts Receivable; generate invoices, collections and bank deposits
- Review Payroll, calculate and file WSIB premiums
- Proficient wit Adobe, MS Office, word, excel and outlook
- Assist with month end closings, and year end reporting
Requirements:
Minimum post-secondary diploma in accounting or similar field
Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting
Strong communication skills
Strong computer skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
