Job Description
Reporting to the Food Service Manager, this position will perform duties as per the Dietary Aide Profile, and as a fill-in will focus on duties around: Preparing food including special diets, assisting the cook in food preparation. Delivery of food and supplies to households, as well as having a role in doing daily dishes and Kitchen cleaning. Must be able to work weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Food Safety Course.

Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

Be an active listener who projects a friendly, problem-solving approach and demeanor.

Good organizing, planning, prioritizing, time management and multi-tasking skills

Proven experience in taking personal responsibility for seeking information from various sources enables others’ learning through sharing experiences, coaching, and mentoring.

Works independently as well as collaboratively within the team

Able to work weekends up to full-time hours.

Excellent attendance required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Stock Household with daily supplies, replenish condiments.
- Stock Condiment and Paper Stations for Bistro
- Stock the Showcase Fridge with sandwiches, salads, desserts, etc. according to Par List
- Serves food to residents according to individual diets and preferences. Observes time limits for meal serving. Maintains food at proper serving temperature.
- Is understanding of all therapeutic diets.
- Clears plates and trays, loads and operates dishwasher. Cleans pots, pans and cooking utensils as per procedure.
- Participates in proper storage and labeling of dietary supplies and food, including leftovers.
- Adheres to established departmental policies, procedures regarding quality assurance, fire, safety, environment, and infection control.
- Participates in facility meetings as assigned. Attends in-service education programs including all mandatory and on-line in-services.
