Job Description What is the role? The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible to lead their team to ensure that the on hand inventory of the Martin Grove Warehouse is accurate, transactional integrity to process is maintained, all adjustments are completed in a timely basis, and conformance to internal and legislative requirements as they pertain to inventory control. This role will pursue maximum customer fill rate achievements, monitor and support the highest quality of product to our customers, establish as well as enforce all procedures and processes as they relate to KPIs and participate in continuous improvements and projects as required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership to direct team members and overall staff by setting clear expectations, providing necessary training, validating work performed, follow up, holding team accountable and looking for process opportunities to streamline and improve
  • Promotes Safe and Inclusive work culture in DC in line with Pet Valu approaches
  • Support team to remove roadblocks and facilitate highest level of quality, accuracy, and integrity within the department
  • Strict adherence to all requirements as per policies, procedures and scheduled timelines and frequencies
  • Cycle counting process completion as per established
  • Store returns processing back to stock and associated store credits
  • DC to DC transfers monitoring and support of end transactions
  • Fill rate investigation to promote highest customer fill rate achievement
  • New product slotting and set ups
  • Discontinued product system and physical exit processes
  • Shorts at time of picking investigation and transactions to correct
  • Damages investigation and reduction initiatives
  • Inventory shrink (Net & Absolute) investigation and reduction initiatives
  • Negative inventory investigation, correction, and monitoring
  • FIFO and FEFO review and action any deviations
  • Monitor all DC transactions on inbound and outbound for system cleanliness
  • Responsible for E-Commerce team as it relates to system transactions and order processing
  • Maintain QC Audit program on E-Commerce and Store audits to support highest accuracy to our customers
  • Handling of all QC related matters such as Inspection, Withdrawal, Recall, Vendor returns and Customer complaints inclusive of required process, procedure, and transactional needs
  • Participate and be key leader in Annual Physical Counts as required

Additional Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support product supply flow and transactions relating to 3PL providers if applicable
  • Monitor and enforce inventory control procedures and process with 3PL providers if applicable

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience leading a team in a Warehouse or Distribution Center environment
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Inventory Control positions ideally in leadership or high responsibility roles
  • Must have excellent and applied knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Must have enhanced knowledge of Pivot tables and VLOOKUP functionality
  • Must have excellent and applied knowledge of WMS, ERP and RF based systems and processes
  • Completion of Community College in related field is considered an asset
  • Experience with Microsoft Nav (Navision) is considered an asset
  • Experience with 3PL providers or satellite warehouse inventory control is considered an asset
  • Must have strong analytical skills
  • Must have great communication skills
  • Must possess employee relations strength to lead effectively
