We’re looking for aSafety Managerto partner with our mills, woodlands, and operational teams across the organization. This role**can be based out of any location we have an office or operating facility.Strong relationships are built on‑site, and this role involvesup to 70% travel,**depending on which Tolko office you call home.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • Minimum7-10 years experiencein a senior occupational health and safety role, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings.

  • Provenexperience collaborating across multiple sitesto influence real, on‑the‑ground change. -Professional certificationin Occupational Health and Safety (such as CRSP, CSP, or equivalent) preferred.

  • Strong understanding ofCanadian and U.S. occupational health and safetyregulations and compliance requirements.

  • Demonstrated ability toinfluence and partnerwith operational leaders to embed safety into daily decision‑making. -Strong business acumenandcuriosityto understand operations, risks, and production realities – using that insight to proactively drive safer outcomes. -**Excellent communication skills,**with the ability to present complex information clearly to front‑line teams, operational leaders, and executive leadership.

  • Track record ofdeveloping, implementing, and auditing safety programs and policies.

  • Experience intraining program development and delivery. -Analytical thinkerwith strongproblem‑solvingand report‑writing skills.

  • Capacity to manage sensitive and confidential information with integrity and discretion.

In this role, you will:

  • Act as astrategic partnerto operations and leaders on all occupational health and safety matters.

  • Provideleadership and guidanceto Safety and Asset Protection Advisors (Canada) and Safety Managers (U.S.). -Lead regulatory compliance initiativesacross all Tolko operating jurisdictions. -Drive implementation and continuous improvementof Tolko’s safety standards, with a strong focus on leadership behaviours and safety culture. -Partnerwith Woodlands Managers to develop and sustain effective contractor safety programs. -Coach and influenceleaders at all levels to strengthen safety accountability and consistency. -Lead development and deliveryof occupational health and safety and safety leadership training. -Oversee our Claims Management Programto support injured employees and minimize disruptions. -Develop and execute internal and external audit programsto measure compliance and program effectiveness. -Reporton safety performance, inspections, regulatory changes, and emerging issues to leadership, the Board, and external stakeholders.
