Exam Period:
December 5, 2025 - December 18, 2025
Position Summary:
- Prepare the examination room prior to each session to specific requirements as well as ensuring that equipment and facilities are functioning properly.
- Assist professors with the distribution of their exams.
- Ensure that only students with valid identification enter the examination room.
- Monitor student activity to ensure exam integrity is maintained.
- Assists professors in obtaining student signatures on sign-in sheets.
- Escort students to the lavatory.
- Ensure that when the exam has officially ended students stop writing.
- Assist professors with the collection of exams.
- Ensure the examination room is cleaned and empty after examination.
- Photocopying.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous invigilating experience, an asset.
- Must be registered as a Graduate Student at McGill.
- Punctuality - work shift starts 30 minutes prior to scheduled start time of exams.
Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level 3 (advanced) on a scale of 0-4, for Verbal English proficiency
Hourly Salary:
(AGSEM Invigilator) $18.00
