Accountable for providing human resources administrative services in the areas of compensation benefits and pension administration, in support of overall Human Resources Department strategies, programs, policies and initiatives and commitment to customer service.

Responsible for performing operational and administrative tasks within the Total Rewards Department for non-union and union employees. Supports the organization's corporate employee benefits program administration (30%), pension administration (30%) including but not limited to various employee benefit processes, communication and customer service delivery. Supports the organization's corporate compensation administration(30%) including but not limited to maintaining the job description/job code database, assisting in the completion of market surveys, performs HRIS data entry and respond to employee inquiries .

  • Provides administration of Human Resources Information System (Virtuo) to ensure timely collection, accuracy, and control of consistent data collection, and reporting in support of HR, compensation management, benefits and pensions administration.

  • Provides a wide range of administrative services and support to HR Total rewards function.

  • Maintains various databases, tracking and administrative systems in support of various HR processes including entering data into Virtuo, meditech, insurance company system, HOOPP etc

  • Work closely with compensation and benefits colleagues, to understand compensation process and ensure data entry is accurate.

  • Also support total rewards team in preparation with various letters, including but not limit to leave letters (STD, LTD, mat leave and other letters) etc..

  • Maintain the job description/job code database, assisting in the completion of market surveys.

  • Work closely with colleagues and facilitate communication with employees' inquiries to improve employees' experience.

  • Organize, modify and maintain confidential electronic and paper files and maintain databases;

  • Participate in HR projects and support continuous process changes.

  • Assistant with other administrative duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary school training in Human Resources, business, medical administration or related field. CEBS certificate or in progress is preferred.

  • 1-2 years' experience in human resources, and administration of human resources information systems.

  • Must be familiar with using computerized office applications and proficient in MS Excel and Word.

  • High attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at same time

  • Must have a satisfactory performance record
