About the role
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Sales Associate will play an important role in growing Civiconnect’s client base and strengthening relationships with existing partners. This position involves identifying new business opportunities, managing client accounts, supporting sales operations, and serving as a key point of contact for external stakeholders. Civiconnect works with a wide range of clients, including startups and mid-sized companies across industries like skilled trades, technology, healthcare, finance, and retail. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who is organized and confident in building relationships, while balancing both client-facing and administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
WAGE: $18 per hour
HOURS OF WORK: 35 Hours
PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT: September 22nd, 2025 -Dec 19th, 2025
LOCATION: Hybrid
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client Engagement and Relationship Management:
- Identify and connect with potential clients across a range of industries.
- Develop thoughtful outreach strategies tailored to each sector’s needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to support long-term satisfaction and growth.
- Serve as the main point of contact for external stakeholders, ensuring clear and timely communication.
- Understand client goals and, by aligning them with Civiconnect’s service offerings, recommend tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with the Operations team to support seamless onboarding, engagement throughout the contract, and a professional offboarding experience.
Sales, Outreach, and Strategy:
- Promote Civiconnect’s services and customize offerings based on client priorities.
- Manage the full sales cycle: From prospecting and qualifying leads to preparing proposals and closing deals.
- Conduct sales outreach initiatives through various channels, including calls, emails, and LinkedIn.
- Represent Civiconnect at events to build connections and generate new opportunities.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts.
- Stay informed on market trends and research new areas for business growth.
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, forecast revenue, and prioritize key opportunities.
- Present tailored solutions, respond to client inquiries, and negotiate terms confidently.
Project Coordination and Client Success:
- Lead client intake meetings with the appropriate Operations team members to align project scope and expectations.
- Act as the liaison between clients and internal teams throughout the contract period.
- Ensure project objectives and deliverables are clearly communicated and met across departments.
- Monitor progress and facilitate regular updates to keep all parties aligned.
- Address issues proactively and support adjustments to timelines or deliverables when needed.
Contract and Document Management:
- Draft and manage contracts in collaboration with Operations and Finance teams.
- Prepare and coordinate Requests for Proposals based on client needs and internal capabilities.
- Support the Director of Operations in the maintenance of sales packages and promotional materials.
- Ensure timely invoicing and maintain accurate records of client activity and documentation.
Performance Monitoring and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure deliverables are met and client expectations are exceeded.
- Track sales activity and performance metrics using CRM tools and other platforms.
- Share client feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Participate in team meetings and training to stay aligned with organizational goals and best practices.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Hybrid work environment with frequent meetings via Microsoft Teams.
- Mandatory attendance is required for technical and soft skills workshops.
TOOLS / SOFTWARE USED:
Microsoft 365 programs
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales, business development, or client relationship management preferred.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a client-first mindset.
- Experience drafting contracts and proposals with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with sales tools and data tracking.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across departments.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Civiconnect receives government funding based on certain eligibility requirements. Please only apply if you meet the following criteria:
- Must be between 18-29 years of age
- Must be enrolled in part-time or full-time studies at a Canadian post-secondary institution with a co-op or internship
- Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
