Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA) is a large, multi-site organization supporting over 1,700 employees across seven casinos and a central corporate office. Through its Human Resources team, SIGA plays an important role in supporting the growth and development of First Nations employment while ensuring the organization has the talent, systems, and workforce planning practices needed to meet current and future business needs.
This is an exciting time to join SIGA as the organization continues to strengthen its talent acquisition strategy and modernize its HR practices. The Manager will play an important role in supporting this evolution by helping improve recruitment processes, enhance system use, streamline workflows, and ensure leaders and teams have the tools, training, and support they need to attract and develop talent across the organization.
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Manager of Talent Acquisition will provide leadership to SIGA’s Talent Acquisition function, supporting recruitment strategy, workforce planning, succession planning, employee development, system adoption, and continuous improvement. This role will lead a diverse team, support recruitment and talent processes across the organization, and work closely with leaders, internal stakeholders, casino locations, and external partners to ensure SIGA continues to attract, develop, and retain strong talent.
Key Responsibilities Lead SIGA’s Talent Acquisition function, providing direction, coaching, feedback, and day-to-day support to a team. Drive SIGA’s recruitment and talent acquisition strategy, supporting corporate office hiring while providing guidance, policy direction, tools, and processes to casino locations. Provide advice to senior management and internal stakeholders across the talent management lifecycle, including sourcing, recruitment, selection, onboarding, workforce planning, succession planning, and employee development. Support the continued modernization of HR systems and processes, helping improve workflows, increase digital adoption, and ensure teams are using available tools effectively. Lead training, process improvement, and program rollout activities, including Talent Sourcing and Selection Training, recruitment workflows, system use, and support for broader HR initiatives such as the competency framework and onboarding. Build strong relationships with internal leaders, casino teams, external talent partners, First Nations communities, and other stakeholders, while using talent data and recruitment metrics to assess effectiveness and recommend improvements.
Qualifications You have experience leading or supervising a team, with the ability to coach, support, and guide both experienced employees and those still developing in their roles. You bring strong recruitment and sourcing experience, including the ability to support senior, professional, mid-management, and hard-to-fill searches. You are comfortable working with HR systems or ERP platforms and bring experience improving workflows, streamlining processes, supporting system adoption, or helping teams work in a more digital environment. You bring strong stakeholder management skills and are comfortable working with senior leaders, operational teams, external partners, casino locations, and First Nations communities. First Nations candidates are strongly encouraged to apply, and all candidates should bring an understanding of First Nations culture, reconciliation, and respectful community-informed recruitment practices. You are strategic, collaborative, approachable, hands-on, and open to feedback, with the ability to guide a team through change, competing priorities, and evolving processes. A post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred, and a CPHR designation is considered an asset.
