REGISTERED NURSE (RN), SPECIALIZED MENTAL HEALTH SUBSTANCE USE OUTREACH

Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at Turning Points in Smithers.
In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, the Registered Nurse practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as well as within a patient and family centred care model.
The RN/RPN provides ongoing intensive outreach nursing care, case management and mental health and substance use support services for assigned clients, whether they are in hospital, residential or other community settings. Designs, implements, and monitors individual treatment plans to maximize community functioning and reduce re-hospitalization. Works in close association with inter-professional community mental health and substance use staff, emergency services, Indigenous partners, and community service providers.
Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday, Days, 08:30 to 16:30

These services are provided through inpatient, ambulatory and community-based programs.
Northern Health's programs and services are split into two different streams - acute and sub-acute. This structure is designed to assist services to be integrated across our campuses and ensure that patients have access to the best healthcare within the most efficient time frame.
