About the role

We are seeking a Construction Coordinator to join our Land Development team. This role is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and following through on a wide range of construction activities, from earth moving and road building to utility installation, park development, and pond construction. You will also work closely with the Homebuilding team to ensure successful project delivery from start to finish.

This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing diverse aspects of land development projects.

The Role:

  • Assist in the review and evaluation of construction tenders.
  • Coordinate activities related to civil and landscape construction.
  • Support preparation of construction budgets and monitor expenditures.
  • Track progress to ensure projects remain on schedule, on budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Oversee security release and city sign-off/assumption of streets and public spaces.
  • Inspect and monitor landscape and civil construction works.
  • Lead and document construction meetings as required.
  • Liaise with the internal warranty team to resolve construction issues.
  • Prepare internal and external communications on upcoming construction activities.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing on construction-related work.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure databases are updated.
  • Communicate with municipalities and other public entities on external issues.
  • Perform other duties as required.

You Will Bring:

  • University degree in Engineering or Planning, or a College Diploma in Construction/Civil Engineering Technology (or related field).
  • 2–5 years of experience in a similar role within development or construction.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, AutoCAD, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid G-class driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
