Job Description: R_1493912 - Senior Manager, Data Science – COO AI2 Risk Analytics Department Overview: The COO AI2 (Chief Operating Office - Analytics, Insights and Artificial Intelligence) team supports the day-to-day activities of the COO businesses & corporate functions by providing consultative support with data & analytics-based business insights and/or solutions to guide decision making and/or strategic planning. We work with business partners to address their analytics needs by providing end-to-end support of data, reporting, analytics, insights, and artificial intelligence solutions. AI2 is an exciting team to be a part of as we are transforming how we provide key insights and opportunities for our business partners to better serve our customers. About this Role: You'll establish and lead a diverse, inclusive and collaborative group of Data Scientists supporting the TDs Risk Management functions. As a leader with vision, you will drive forward a strategic analytics agenda at the forefront of financial and non-financial risk management. You'll bring your talent for relationship-building to the forefront, working closely with risk leaders to drive value through creative and innovative analytical solutions. You'll work together to master business objectives and identify opportunities for driving value. From there, you will oversee the development of ongoing analytics projects and initiatives, using your vast expertise to walk them through the process and provide ongoing support. Most importantly, your leadership inspires leadership in others, as well as the drive to execute with speed and precision and help bring TD into the future of business. As a Senior Manager, Data Science, COO Risk Analytics you will: Own and drive the full analytics roadmap for the Risk Management area, including analytics & insight, business intelligence and AI/ML initiatives to drive significant business value. Areas of focus may change depending on needs of the business but can include: Uncover Analytics and AI/ML opportunities with the Risk Management area, prioritizing delivery via key stakeholder engagement and value generation/risk mitigation. Lead a team of Data Science professionals/specialists ensuring alignment to vision and roadmap. Build trusted relationships with Risk Management business partners and other key internal and external stakeholders (control partners, technology, etc.) to facilitate collaboration on Analytical and AI/ML solutions to key business problems Act as a “Single Point of Contact" analytics expert for all COO Ai2 Risk Analytics. Review and craft executive presentation materials to facilitate key strategic discussions and provide thought leadership for executive audiences. Partner with AI2 Practices and Layer 6 teams to advance analytics and artificial intelligence capabilities across the organization. Gain exposure and business acumen across all areas of TDs Risk Management functions. Manage the workload of your analytics team, assigning data requests to staff based on skills and development needs, ensuring alignment with business priorities and timely delivery of desired outcomes. Attract, motivate and retain a highly diverse, qualified, and engaged team to fulfill current and future business needs, creating and sustaining a high performing inclusive culture. Ensure team uses knowledge of data capabilities across the organization to build and deliver on business analytics and insights Job Requirements: Advanced university degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics or other analytically based discipline Five (5) to seven (7) years relevant experience, in Risk Analytics functions Experience in leading analytic teams or use cases and passionate about people leadership and development Strong technical skills to lead some advanced analytic use cases (SQL, Python, Pyspark) Strong stakeholder management skills to support driving an analytics focused agenda Acute business acumen and familiarity with Risk Management practices, tools and techniques Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to communicate analytics concepts to non-technical audiences at executive levels In-depth industry knowledge, including current AIML trends and challenges globally Who We Are: TD is one of the world's leading global financial institutions and is the fifth largest bank in North America by branches/stores.
