Our Albian location is seeking an experienced Aerodrome Supervisor to support our diverse operations for a temporary 4-to-6-month contract position. This is a full-time rotational camp position with a fourteen (14) days on and fourteen (14) days off shift schedule. Flights from Calgary or Edmonton and camp accommodations are provided.
Main Functions:
The Aerodrome Supervisor supports day-to-day aerodrome operations including aircraft ground handling operations, aircraft de/anti-icing, aircraft refuelling and airfield maintenance. The Aerodrome Supervisor reports to the Aerodrome Manager and provides direct supervision, guidance and coordination for Ramp Agents and Airfield Operators.
Responsibilities:

Schedule, direct, and coordinate daily work for Ramp Agents and Airfield Operators ensuring safe and efficient aircraft ground handling, aircraft de/anti-icing, aircraft refueling, and airfield maintenance according to EFC and CNRL operating and safety procedures.

Ensure all Transport Canada, Canada Labour Code, OH&S, and CNRL standards and regulations are consistently met.

Provide guidance, mentorship, training and direction to Ramp Agents and Airfield Operators ensuring day to day airfield operations are planned effectively and tasks are properly assigned and supervised.

Review and verify the accuracy of all documentation, reports, and operational paperwork.

Collaborate closely with Customer Service Leads, Mechanics, and Safety/QC Coordinators to support safe aerodrome operations and align passenger services with aircraft ground handling activities.

Enforce and model compliance with EFC standard operating procedures and policies.
-
Demonstrate strong leadership and set high performance standards for the team.
-
Ensure the airfield is properly maintained in all weather conditions and that all equipment remains in safe, working order.
-
Assist in operational tasks when necessary, including aircraft ground handling, refuelling, airfield maintenance, passenger movement, and wildlife control duties.

Provide backup and support for Radio Operators as required.
-
Provide the Aerodrome Manager with input on staffing needs, succession planning, coaching, and performance management for Ramp Agents and Airfield Operators.

Prepare and approve bi‑weekly timesheets for payroll.
-
Review and approve employee time‑off requests in coordination with the Aerodrome Manager to maintain adequate staffing levels.
-
Support the rollout of new procedures, conduct on‑the‑job training, and ensure training records are complete and current.
-
Provide after‑hours or on‑call support as operational needs arise.
-
Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area, promoting a strong safety culture.
-
Deliver exceptional, respectful, and professional customer service.
-
Participate in EFC’s Health, Safety & Environment and Quality programs and initiatives.
-
Act as the designated alternate for the Aerodrome Manager during their absence.
-
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
-
Post‑secondary education in aviation or a business‑related field is preferred.
-
Minimum four years of experience in aviation or airport operations, including aerodrome‑specific experience.
-
Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.
-
Valid Class 3 driver’s licence with airbrake endorsement and a clean Driver’s Abstract; no restrictions permitted.
-
Ability to meet all pre‑employment and site‑access requirements, including CSO and Drug & Alcohol testing.
-
Completion of required EFC and CNRL theoretical and practical training (e.g., WHMIS, AVOP).
-
Completion of EFC on‑the‑job training for aerodrome operations policies, procedures, and practices.
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to interact professionally, tactfully, and collaboratively with team members and stakeholders.

Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities, including sound independent judgment.

Mechanical aptitude and proficiency in the safe operation of heavy machinery.
