The Opportunity
JSC is looking for a Senior Business Analyst who is passionate about turning data into actionable insights that drive business value.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements and processes.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to elicit detailed user requirements.
Data Analysis:
- Analyze business data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Create detailed reports and visualizations to present findings to stakeholders.
Process Improvement:
- Assess current processes and workflows, recommending enhancements to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Design and document new processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Project Management:
- Work closely with project managers and IT teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Assist in the development of project plans and timelines, ensuring that business needs are met.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as a liaison between IT and business units, ensuring clear communication and understanding of requirements.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders, conveying technical information in a business-friendly manner.
Testing and Validation:
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field

PMP and / or MBA is an asset

5+ years of experience in business process analysis and process design, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.

Steel manufacturing or power industry experience preferred.

Proven experience working on complex, cross-functional projects.

Proficiency in process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart) and business analytics platforms.

Strong understanding of operational workflows in a manufacturing or industrial setting

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
