The Opportunity This position works remotely in the Point of Care, Diagnostics division. We’re empowering smarter medical and economic decision making to help transform the way people manage their health at all stages of life. Our Point of Care diagnostic portfolio spans key health and therapeutic areas, including Chemistry, Electrolytes, Hematology, Blood Gases, Coagulation, Endocrinology, Cardiac Markers, Neurology, and Informatics.
As the Account Manager, you will maintain and expand sales of company’s portfolio of products in existing accounts and develop new business within assigned territory. Act alone and as liaison for various personnel to increase the company’s market penetration. Continually develop growth opportunities within assigned territory.
What You’ll Do
- Achieve sales targets through efficient and effective sales cycle and territory management, maintain sales base while closing new business in both new and existing accounts.
- Ensure that all administrative tasks (i.e. training modules, expense reports, sales forecasts etc.) are completed promptly and accurately.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders within accounts.
- Develop and execute sales strategies, utilize available resources effectively.
- Understands and complies with all applicable EH&S policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Responsible for implementation and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.
- 50-70% over-night travel.
- Ideally the candidate will be located in Edmonton, Saskatoon or Calgary.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferred degrees: Science, Chemistry, or medical program.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to maintain consistent momentum with multiple products and across multiple sales cycles.
- Ability to convey communications clearly, concisely, and accurately.
- Ability to form and develop interpersonal, professional relationships; display socially and professionally appropriate behavior.
- Ability to influence and lead without direct authority.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills, analytical and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to prioritize and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to provide solutions and contingency plans through the comprehensive review of alternatives.
- Ability to speak confidently in public and present material to Executive-level management.
- Knowledge of MS-Office Software and CRM Databases.
