Freight Broker Agent (Commission-Based)

OTR Logistics Solutions is seeking motivated Freight Broker Agents to join our growing transportation brokerage.
This independent contractor opportunity is ideal for transportation professionals with freight brokerage, logistics, transportation sales, dispatch, or carrier sales experience. Whether you have an established customer base or are looking to build one, we provide the tools, carrier network, operational support, and resources needed to help you grow your business and maximize your earnings.

Responsibilities
- Develop and manage shipper relationships
- Generate new freight opportunities
- Source and negotiate carrier capacity
- Coordinate shipments from pickup through delivery
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Monitor shipment performance and proactively resolve issues
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Grow revenue while maintaining strong profit margins
Qualifications
- Previous freight brokerage, transportation sales, logistics, dispatch, or carrier sales experience preferred
- Existing shipper relationships or transportation sales experience considered a strong asset
- Strong communication, sales, and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts
- Knowledge of Canadian and U.S. transportation markets
- Experience with cannabis, produce, temperature-controlled, expedited, or cross-border freight is considered an asset
