Job Title: Pricing Manager
Reports to: Sr. Manager, Pricing Location: Ottawa, Canada
Position Summary:
As a key member of the pricing team, you will lead and coordinate pricing and rebate analysts for RSD Canada. Collaborate closely with Commercial, Finance, and Marketing teams to support the business, deliver profitable growth, and achieve pricing excellence. The team performs product price and profitability reviews as well as ongoing support on day-to-day maintenance of price discounts, rebates, list pricing and ad-hoc pricing data analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Address pricing-related inquiries, provide guidance, and support discounts and promotions.
- Establish holistic pricing and discount analysis to drive business growth.
- Lead, coach, and motivate your team in a fast-paced environment.
- Respond to market changes and challenges, such as currency fluctuations and tariffs, with thoughtful actions.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate pricing implementation.
- Actively work on process improvements to streamline existing procedures.
- Exercise independent judgment to evaluate, review, and recommend appropriate actions.
Qualifications:
Education:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in Pricing or Sales Operations.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Outstanding analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail
- Ability to operate effectively and maintain positive professional relationships with peers and upper management.
- Excellent at prioritizing multiple projects and presenting creative ideas.
- Proficient user of SQL, Power BI, Cognos, excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Hire, lead, mentor, strengthen and develop the Pricing Team to foster professional and technical growth.
- Promote a culture of personal responsibility, accountability, and open communication.
- Demonstrate and promote the company’s vision, values, and competencies.
- Ability to identify process and control gaps and champion improvement initiatives through Practical-Process-Improvement
