In this exciting role will serve as the primary point of contact for contractors, staffing suppliers, hiring managers, and internal stakeholders, ensuring the contingent labor program operates with high integrity, strong service levels, and alignment to corporate policies

Minimum Requirements:

  • 10 years in Contingent Workforce Management, Talent Acquisition, HR, Supply Chain, or Vendor Management
  • Experience with contingent workforce programs, rate card management, and staffing supplier governance
  • Strong understanding of contingent labor classifications, co-employment risk, and compliance requirements
  • Skilled in process design, policy development, and startup of new operational programs or offices
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet analysis and workforce reporting; familiarity with VMS tools preferred
  • Background in contract negotiation or procurement

Responsibilities: Program Startup & Governance Development:

  • Establish and operationalize the Contingent Workforce Office by designing and implementing core processes, governance structures, documentation, policies, dashboards, and risk‑mitigation strategies to ensure compliance, transparency, and effective management of contingent labor.

Rate Card Strategy & Standardization:

  • Develop standardized rate cards across job families, skill levels, and supplier tiers by conducting market benchmarking, collaborating with Finance, HR, and Supply Chain to ensure competitiveness, implementing governance controls and compliance audits, and providing cost insights to support workforce budgeting and forecasting

Vendor & Supplier Management:

  • Build and manage supplier relationships—including staffing firms, MSPs, and independent contractor sources—by overseeing onboarding, performance management, compliance, and contract negotiations to ensure optimal service delivery and regulatory adherence.

Operational Management & Service Delivery:

  • Oversee the end-to-end contingent workforce lifecycle—from requisition to offboarding

Compliance, Risk Management & Audit Support:

  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, safety regulations, procurement policies, and contract terms by maintaining audit-ready controls

Location and other Key details:

  • This is an office-based role. You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
  • Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work
