Accounting Clerk

Downtown Toronto, ON (Hybrid) $70K–$80K + Benefits 12-Month Contract

We are partnering with an investment firm to recruit an Accounting Clerk to join their collaborative finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional to gain exposure to investment accounting, cash management, and multi-entity accounting within a highly professional and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with cash management, including processing payments, monitoring cash receipts, and maintaining banking records. Prepare intercompany invoices and support cash transfers across multiple entities. Download and organize investment documentation, tax slips, financial statements, and capital call/distribution notices. Assist with reconciliations of cash and fixed income balances within the investment reporting system. Process journal entries and maintain accounting records using Sage 300. Prepare bank reconciliations, supporting schedules, and year-end working papers. Organize supporting documentation for the accounting team and assist with month-end activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business. Approximately 1–2 years of accounting or accounting administration experience. Experience with bank reconciliations, journal entries, cash management, or month-end accounting. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, and filtering. Experience with Sage 300 or a comparable ERP system is an asset. Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. CPA designation is not required, but an interest in pursuing the CPA designation is considered an asset.
