As a Housekeeping Supervisor specializing in operations, administration, and dispatch, your meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage the behind-the-scenes workflow are essential to the success of our department. Your commitment to accuracy, communication, and guest recovery will ensure seamless daily operations and elevate our service delivery. By supporting operational excellence and behind-the-scenes efficiency, you will lead by example - fostering a collaborative, proactive, and high-performing environment where colleagues feel empowered and guests feel genuinely cared for.
Starting Rate: $24.00 per hour
We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $28.76.
Job Duties Include:
- Oversee daily Dispatch operations, monitoring queue rooms, banked rooms, occupancy forecasts, and staffing levels to ensure smooth workflows and accurate reporting across AM/PM shifts.
- Mentor and coach Dispatch colleagues through one-on-ones, feedback, and performance reviews, while supporting colleague engagement, recognition programs, and leadership briefings.
- Manage scheduling and administrative processes including vacation planning, payroll exceptions, WCB/incident reports, onboarding/offboarding records, colleague Scorecards, and audit-ready reconciliation reports.
- Maintain and troubleshoot device inventory (iPods, iPhones, iPads, panic buttons) while ensuring accurate use of PMS, Amadeus, ALICE, RSM, and Microsoft Office Suite for reporting, communication, and operational tracking.
- Lead process improvements, keep office and filing systems organized, and prepare/distribute daily operational reports (briefings, guest reports, VIP lists, daily events). Provide support with guest recovery, Lost & Found, incident investigations, and cross-department communications.
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
- Prolonged standing and walking throughout an 8-hour shift.
- Occasional lifting and carrying of items up to 30 lbs.
- Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Regularly ascending and descending ladders, stairs, and ramps.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while performing office-based tasks.
Qualifications
Your Skills & Experience:
- Proficiency in English (both verbal and written) is essential.
- Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in a hotel operational environment.
- Strong training and coaching skills, with a proven ability to develop team members.
- Advanced proficiency in PMS, Amadeus, ALICE, RSM, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Proactive with keen attention to detail and a commitment to high standards.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Skilled at listening, understanding, and resolving concerns or issues raised by team members and guests.
- Capable of performing duties with attention to detail, efficiency, accuracy, and a cooperative attitude, with minimal supervision.
