Elementary Classroom Assistant

We are currently seeking one full-time Classroom Assistant to join our Elementary team. The successful candidates will join a team of educators passionate about providing a holistic learning experience for children. Experience with Montessori is certainly an asset, but not a necessity.

Desired qualities in a candidate are:

• Clean criminal record check

• Successful experience working with and understanding students in elementary school

• Able to take direction as well as initiative

• Excellent communication skills with both children and adults

• Organized and reliable

• The desire to learn about the Montessori philosophy

• Current First Aid or willingness to acquire

The successful candidate must be available on a full time basis, Monday – Friday from 8:30 – 3:00, commencing January 6th and continuing until approximately April 30th, or until the incumbent returns. This role is a temporary assignment created to support the school during a short-term employee leave. The position will conclude upon the employee’s return.
