About The Role.
The Director, Supply Chain Network Strategy & Design is a newly created leadership role responsible for defining how and where McCain produces, sources, and distributes finished goods for the Global Snacking business. Reporting to the VP, Supply Chain – Global Snacking, this role translates commercial ambition into a resilient, cost-advantaged global manufacturing and distribution footprint.
This leader will own the finished-goods network strategy, including make-vs-buy decisions, footprint design, and product-to-plant-to-market flows. Success in this role requires strong cross-regional collaboration and the ability to align diverse stakeholders across NA, EMENA, APACSA, and LATAM to enable a unified, high-performing global network.
What You’ll Be Doing.
Own the global finished-goods network strategy, optimizing where products are manufactured, co-manufactured, and stored to balance cost, service, and risk Lead end-to-end make-vs-buy strategy, defining when to insource, outsource, or expand co-manufacturing to support growth and capacity needs Provide strategic input into long-range capacity and capital planning in partnership with Operations, Finance, and Global Supply Chain Define and maintain portfolio segmentation (Develop, Scale, Insource, Outsource, Exit) with a repeatable governance process Establish governance frameworks for make-vs-buy decisions, including decision rights, triggers, and review cadence Build and lead advanced network modeling and scenario-planning capabilities to optimize footprint, sourcing, and flows Run scenario analyses (e.g., demand shifts, cost changes, supply disruptions) to drive data-backed sourcing and deployment decisions Integrate regulatory and trade requirements into network design, partnering with Scientific & Regulatory Affairs and trade compliance teams Act as a strategic advisor to Regional Managing Directors and Supply Chain leaders, aligning regional execution to global strategy Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a “One Supply Chain” mindset across regions
What You’ll Need To Be Successful.
University degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations Research, Analytics, or Business (Master’s preferred) 10+ years of progressive supply chain experience in multinational or FMCG/CPG environments Deep expertise in network design, make-vs-buy strategy, footprint optimization, and capacity planning Strong hands-on experience with network optimization tools (e.g., Llamasoft, Coupa Supply Chain Guru, Cosmic Frog or equivalent) Advanced analytics capability, including total delivered cost and cost-to-serve modeling Working knowledge of food and trade regulatory requirements and global trade compliance considerations Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders in global matrix organizations Strong communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills Proficiency in SAP (or equivalent ERP), advanced Excel, and executive-level PowerPoint Demonstrated success building and developing high-performing teams Alignment with McCain’s values of authenticity, integrity, and people-first leadership
About The Team.
This is a newly established, high-impact team within Global Snacking Supply Chain. The Director will build and lead a team consisting of a Manager, Network Strategy and two Supply Chain Analysts. The team is responsible for establishing the frameworks, tools, and capabilities that enable a globally integrated network strategy, working closely with regional teams and cross-functional partners across Operations, Finance, Procurement, and Supply Chain.

Compensation Package: $146,200.00 - $195,000.00 . CAD annually + Bonus eligibility + Long-term incentive eligibility
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education and training, and other organizational needs. This posting is for an existing vacancy.
