Chief Advisor - Public Affairs
About the role
A career as a Senior Advisor – Public Affairs on the Public Affairs team at National Bank means serving as a communications specialist and supporting the Bank in its relationships with multiple external stakeholders. This position allows you to have a significant positive impact on our organisation thanks to your knowledge of current events, social issues and recognised communication skills.
Your job Media relations, particularly as spokesperson Develop external communication strategies that are consistent with the Bank's orientations, priorities, culture and values Draft strategic and miscellaneous communications for the organisation (speeches for executives, press releases, etc.) Contribute to incident management and reputational risk management, which could require availability outside normal work hours Specialist and provide specialised advice to executives·and business lines for their external communication activities Participate in the Bank's institutional relations activities. Your team The public Affairs team is made up of 7 specialists who work agile, proactively and collaboratively to seize opportunities, promote the Bank, defend its reputation and stay abreast of technology and the latest trends.
You will join the Public Affairs and Linguistic Services team, which has 20 colleagues and reports to the Vice-President, Public Affairs and Government Relations. Our team stands out for its commitment, passion for the profession and ability to engage internal and external stakeholders.

Prerequisites Bachelor's and/or master's degree·in a related field and at least 10 years of relevant experience Experience in media relations and/or government relations Proficiency in corporate public communications (speeches for executives, press releases) Expertise demonstrated in crisis and incident management Knowledge of best practises/proficiency in collaboration tools (social media) Ability to manage several projects with tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
