The Role

As a Resource Coordinator, you will be responsible for scheduling and resource allocation of our team members in our busy public accounting practice. You will work closely with managers and partners to understand project timelines, deadlines, and resource requirements, ensuring optimal allocation of resources across various projects and engagements.

What You’ll Do

  • Utilize scheduling software to efficiently distribute workload and allocate resources across various projects and multiple offices.

  • Work closely with managers and partners to understand project timelines, deadlines, and resource requirements.

  • Monitor team member availability and skill sets to ensure proper allocation of resources for each project.

  • Coordinate with team members to confirm availability and assign tasks accordingly.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project assignments, team member availability, and other relevant information.

  • Identify opportunities for improvement in resource utilization and implement best practices.

  • Identify and address any scheduling conflicts or resource constraints in a timely manner.

  • Provide support and guidance to team members on scheduling best practices and procedures.

  • Actively support and participate in firm-wide initiatives, including the delivery of data and information on key performance indicators to firm leadership. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that promote efficiency and effectiveness.

What You Bring

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in a similar role, ideally within a public accounting practice.

  • Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines, proactive team member with excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

  • Growth Mindset: Openness to learning and adapting in a fast-paced environment.
