INNIO is seeking a Senior Technical Expert for our Container Platform Team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing high-impact projects and be a recognized authority in containerized solutions. Reporting to the Head of Engineering / Container Platform Team, this role shapes strategy, addresses complex engineering challenges, and leads a team in sophisticated product development activities, collaborating with supply chain and engineering partners.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance and mentorship to the container design and development team, ensuring the implementation of cutting-edge system technology and development methodologies.
  • Oversee the Design & Development Processes, including Design Practices, Guidelines & Standards, Risk Management & Mitigation (D-FMEA), and Verification and Validation (DVP&R) for containerized solutions within the Jenbacher business.
  • Collaborate effectively with Product Line Management, Engineering, Sourcing, and Service departments to develop and execute strategies for containerized products.
  • Support the identification, evaluation, and onboarding of potential supply chain and engineering partners, ensuring compliance with technical and quality standards for containerized solutions.
  • Drive the strategic direction of Container Product Development by leveraging market analysis and integrating technological advancements specific to containerized solutions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future.
  • Travel: Ability and willingness to travel frequently (>30%).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent discipline; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Experience in the relevant business, preferably in the reciprocating engine and/or containerized product solution industries with substantial experience in new product development and managing high-impact projects.
  • Recognized expert in containerized solutions, demonstrated through previous roles, publications, patents, or significant contributions to the field.
  • Proficient in the latest engineering tools and methodologies relevant to containerized product development, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong leadership abilities to manage and support a team of engineers and technical experts, with proven mentoring, coaching, and motivational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German, with the ability to influence, present key information, and engage in business-led discussions with executive management.
