About the role
Who you are
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years in software engineering, with at least 2+ years in a technical leadership role
- Expertise in Java and Spring Boot; strong experience with Node.js, React/Next.js, and microservices
- Proven AWS experience, especially with serverless architecture and tools like API Gateway, Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, and AWS SAM
- Experience integrating payment gateways, international payment rails, or crypto/blockchain solutions (strong plus)
- Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, OAuth, and relational/NoSQL databases
- Strong advocate for CI/CD, automated testing, and Agile development practices
- Demonstrated ability to coach engineers and QA teams, with excellent communication across technical and non-technical audiences
What the job involves
- As a Technical Team Lead, you will guide a high-performing team of full stack and QA engineers while remaining deeply hands-on
- You’ll architect scalable solutions, champion engineering excellence, and drive innovation across our Fintech platforms, including international and alternative payment methods
- Lead and mentor engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment
- Architect, design, and develop scalable backend and frontend systems using Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, and React/Next.js
- Drive technical delivery through sprint planning, estimation, retrospectives, and ensuring timely, high-quality execution
- Set and enforce best practices in coding, testing, CI/CD, and DevOps
- Build robust APIs and microservices to support international payments, including alternative methods such as crypto and stablecoins
- Translate business requirements into production-ready solutions in partnership with Product, QA, and Architecture teams
- Drive continuous improvement in codebase health through reviews, refactoring, and technical debt management
- Design and deploy cloud-native solutions using AWS (API Gateway, Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB) and AWS SAM for serverless development
- Implement secure, scalable, and resilient architectures with a focus on performance and cost-efficiency
- Advocate for modern DevOps practices, CI/CD automation, and infrastructure as code
- Act as a technical escalation point, unblocking team members and supporting career growth
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders, document decisions, and promote transparency
- Champion Agile methodologies and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement
