About the role

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years in software engineering, with at least 2+ years in a technical leadership role
  • Expertise in Java and Spring Boot; strong experience with Node.js, React/Next.js, and microservices
  • Proven AWS experience, especially with serverless architecture and tools like API Gateway, Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, and AWS SAM
  • Experience integrating payment gateways, international payment rails, or crypto/blockchain solutions (strong plus)
  • Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, OAuth, and relational/NoSQL databases
  • Strong advocate for CI/CD, automated testing, and Agile development practices
  • Demonstrated ability to coach engineers and QA teams, with excellent communication across technical and non-technical audiences

What the job involves

  • As a Technical Team Lead, you will guide a high-performing team of full stack and QA engineers while remaining deeply hands-on
  • You’ll architect scalable solutions, champion engineering excellence, and drive innovation across our Fintech platforms, including international and alternative payment methods
  • Lead and mentor engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment
  • Architect, design, and develop scalable backend and frontend systems using Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, and React/Next.js
  • Drive technical delivery through sprint planning, estimation, retrospectives, and ensuring timely, high-quality execution
  • Set and enforce best practices in coding, testing, CI/CD, and DevOps
  • Build robust APIs and microservices to support international payments, including alternative methods such as crypto and stablecoins
  • Translate business requirements into production-ready solutions in partnership with Product, QA, and Architecture teams
  • Drive continuous improvement in codebase health through reviews, refactoring, and technical debt management
  • Design and deploy cloud-native solutions using AWS (API Gateway, Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB) and AWS SAM for serverless development
  • Implement secure, scalable, and resilient architectures with a focus on performance and cost-efficiency
  • Advocate for modern DevOps practices, CI/CD automation, and infrastructure as code
  • Act as a technical escalation point, unblocking team members and supporting career growth
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders, document decisions, and promote transparency
  • Champion Agile methodologies and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement
