About the role

The salary range for this position is CAD $45.46/Hr. - CAD $65.35/Hr.

We are seeking a Team Lead to oversee the integration and implementation of Meditech Expanse for the Foundation Teams (Patient Access, HIM, and Revenue). Reporting to both the Regional Director of Records Management & Registration FH and the M-Expanse Project Lead, the Team Lead will ensure best practices, innovation, and seamless collaboration across teams. With expertise in HIM and its operational areas, the Team Lead will represent HIM interests, driving improvements and optimizations for enhanced service delivery. Strong project management skills and the ability to meet timelines are essential.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management/Technology, Business Administration or other related field. Eligible for membership with applicable professional Association as applicable.
  • Five (5) years' recent, related experience including leadership and project management experience preferably in a HIM setting.

  • Demonstrated supervision, leadership and facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team and fostering a respectful, motivating and supportive environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to represent your business stream across the organization and to senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business practice and work flows in health care settings preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Lean or related process improvement principles.
  • Proven ability to engage and coordinate activities within a work setting.
  • Proven ability to generate required outcomes from initiatives with specific purpose.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage conflict effectively.
  • A competitive salary The salary range for this position is $45.46 - $65.35 per hour, depending on experience.

Your Day to Day

  • Lead and oversee project team from design to implementation, considering organizational culture, clinical practices, policies, and necessary changes for successful implementation.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to the team, addressing performance issues and promoting a culture of competency and achievement.
  • Serve as the primary HIM lead, ensuring all HIM areas are integrated with other design teams and all impacts of the build are addressed.
  • Gather best practices and industry innovations, applying them to support decision-making in working group sessions.
  • Coordinate with other Project and Team Leads to align work processes across teams and ensure consistent design, testing, and implementation.
  • Ensure the team meets project deliverables on time, providing regular status updates, issue management, and outcomes reporting.
  • Facilitate project/design sessions, manage meeting preparations, follow up on outcomes, and document decisions and actions.
  • Champion change management, communications, and the overall project.
  • Summarize/update policies, procedures, and documents for efficient decision-making in team sessions.
  • Compile and address functionality questions for the build and track policy/procedure changes.
  • Coordinate reviews of demos or draft builds for accuracy and summarize issues.
  • Work with HIM and Clinical Transformation leadership to resolve team issues.
  • Represent HIM on other M-Expanse teams and provide input on training, change management, and communications.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.
