ROLE
The Coffee Shop Staff will advance the goals as defined by the Volunteer Council by following all policies/procedures and assigned tasks ensuring excellent customer service.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION(S)
- Secondary school diploma with experience in food service; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Current Safe Food Handling Certification, or a willingness to obtain this certificate
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE(S)

Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with customers, staff and patients

Ability to operate with a high level of independence, sound judgment and decision-making skills

An understanding/experience with POS (point of sale) and cash register procedures
-
To liaise with customers ensuring they are greeted with a smile and a helping hand

Conduct and present oneself in a professional manner

Be able to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HPHA’s policy

Be reliable, and flexible

Adapt to change

Be a team player and take direction from lead staff.
