This role will support the department with the responsibilities that include but are not limited to:

• Collecting and analyzing relevant operational data to determine and establish standard costs
• Identifying the financial status of projects by comparing and analyzing plans, forecasts and variances with actual results
• Assisting Project Managers with tracking and reporting for each individual project (including contract amounts, work orders, change orders, etc.)
• Establishing a sustainable system of controls to ensure consistency, transparency and accountability for all related financial reporting
• Assisting in developing procedures to evaluate projects relative to scheduling, costs, client relationships, quality, and on-time delivery
• Preparing construction budget tracking reports to assist with managing objectives, goals and performance to date
• Interacting with and providing support to the Project Managers by leading the estimating team and budgeting costs for each project
• Working with the Accounting Department to ensure funding is in place so that vendors are paid in a timely manner
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• College or University Degree preferred (or an acceptable combination of education and relevant experience)
• 3-5 years of direct experience in a construction-based environment
• Ability to analyze issues quickly and to determine the best course of action using available resources for a wide range of construction-based applications (both City- and Community-based)
• Demonstrated ability to use sound judgement and provide suggested direction(s) as a key liaison to the SMT
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training
• Proficient with MS Office
• Strong customer service mindset
• Team player with the ability to work under pressure in a rapidly changing workplace
• Excellent written, oral and listening communication skills
• Exceptional multi-tasking abilities and prioritization skills
