POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE), you will implement high-quality educational programming that supports the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of children. Reporting to the Centre Director, you’ll work collaboratively with your team to plan curriculum experiences, maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment, and build meaningful relationships with families and children. You’ll be a role model of professionalism and an ambassador for the Childventures philosophy of learning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and deliver engaging curriculum experiences aligned with Childventures' philosophy and standards
- Customize programming based on observations and children’s developmental stages and interests
- Conduct regular observations and maintain accurate documentation and child records
- Establish safe, consistent routines and foster a warm, inclusive classroom environment
- Communicate regularly and professionally with families regarding each child’s development
- Support licensing, health, and safety inspections and ensure regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with your Team Mentor and Centre Director to maintain and enhance program quality
- Participate in quality assurance processes, including internal assessments and environmental ratings
- Attend curriculum and professional development sessions to continually grow your practice
- Other duties as assigned to support classroom and centre success
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Certification
- Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education from a recognized Ontario institution
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (RECE)
Experience
- Experience in a licensed childcare setting is an asset
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA) and current educational practices
- Passion for early learning and a commitment to quality and safety
MINISTRY REQUIREMENTS:
- 2 Step TB
- Updated Immunizations (Tetanus, MMR)
- Health Assessment (deemed fit for work)
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- Standard First Aid & CPR Level C
