As the Marketing & Communications Coordinator**, you will:**

Position Summary:

The Marketing & Communications Coordinator plays a vital role in elevating the mission of Easter Seals Alberta by supporting engagement and awareness campaigns through compelling storytelling and targeted communications. This role helps drive revenue generation through strategic messaging, brand alignment, and outreach across digital, print, and media channels.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation & Campaign Support

  • Support the creation of marketing & communications strategies.

  • Implement marketing & communication tactics to support awareness campaigns, revenue generation opportunities, and community engagement initiatives.

  • Write clear, inspiring content for newsletters, social media, donor appeals, press releases, reports, and web updates.

  • Collaborate with the Graphic Design Coordinator & the Development team to bring campaigns and messaging to life visually.

Digital Marketing & Social Media:

  • Manage and grow ESA’s digital presence across social media platforms.

  • Schedule/publish posts, monitor engagement, and report on analytics to improve content performance.

  • Maintain website content related to giving opportunities, impact stories, and donor recognition.

Brand & Internal Communications:

  • Ensure consistency in tone, voice, and visual identity across all channels.

  • Provide marketing support for internal teams to ensure alignment with ESA’s mission.

Media Relations & Public Engagement:

  • Support media outreach, including writing and distributing press releases.

  • Coordinate storytelling opportunities that highlight the impact of donor support and the individuals ESA serves.

Key Deliverables:

  • Awareness driven content calendar leading to Digital engagement growth

  • Compelling storytelling

  • Brand consistency & media coordination

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Communications, PR, Marketing, or related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in a Communications or Marketing role, preferably in a non-profit or philanthropic environment.

  • Proficiency with social media tools and email platforms.

  • Familiarity with website CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress) and basic SEO principles.

  • Experience building awareness to generate revenue.
