Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Interior Design Drafter position based in Delta, BC. The Interior Design Drafter will prepare detailed technical and architectural drawings for both custom and standardized cabinetry, ensuring accuracy and compliance with design specifications and building standards. Daily responsibilities include interpreting design concepts, collaborating with designers, engineers, and sales teams, and converting design briefs into precise CAD drawings and production-ready documents. The role also involves updating and revising drawings based on feedback, maintaining organized drawing files and documentation, and coordinating with the manufacturing team to ensure feasibility and quality. In addition, the Interior Design Drafter will support the quoting process by providing accurate measurements, layouts, and material information.

Qualifications

Experience in interior design drafting is required. Experience with Cabinet Vision 2020 and AutoCAD is preferred. Ability to create and interpret engineering drawings and production documents for manufacturing. Experience preparing architectural drawings, floor plans, elevations, and sections for interior spaces. Knowledge of preparing appliance drawings, interpreting manufacturers' guidelines, and drafting custom appliance millwork and cabinetry. Strong attention to detail, spatial awareness, and the ability to work from measurements and design briefs. Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with design, sales, and production teams. Experience in millwork, cabinetry, or interior construction environments is considered an asset. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work on-site in a workshop or office environment.
