Procap Electrician (Full-Time)
We are looking for a qualified journeyman electrician with IRATA 1/2/3 who is capable to splice to join our team in a stable, full-time role. "Procap" stands for Protection Capacity, meaning you will be our go-to expert whenever an electrical job arises.
In this role, you’ll be available on short notice to take on electrical projects as they come up. When there are no active jobs, you’ll report to the office, but regardless of job availability, you’ll receive a guaranteed 40-hour workweek with full pay.
This position offers job security, consistency, and the benefits of steady employment, eliminating the need to move from job to job. If you’re an experienced insulator looking for long-term stability, we’d love to have you on board!
As part of our organizational philosophy, we like our field workers to have the full understanding of “heat management” This involves knowing the Insulation aspect and be willing to learn the electrical aspect as well. In this role we are looking for an insulator willing to learn the electrical side of heat management and gain skills in a trade different from their own.

Responsibilities
- Read & interpret blueprints, Isometrics, and electrical schematics
- Install & remove heat trace in accordance with specified standards
- Ensure safe work around process lines, live systems, and hazardous areas (Class I Zone 1/2)
- Working with power and hand tools
- Electrical installs, wiring and cable pulls
- Perform insulation resistance tests (Megger) to ensure cable integrity
- Conduct loop checks and verify continuity and proper grounding
- QA, testing and commissioning of electrical and heat trace components
- Use of digital Work packages and quality documents
- Participate collaboratively in work groups
- Use of good problem-solving critical thinking and communication skills
- Adherence with safety requirements and policies, LOTO etc.
- Active participation in HSE Program
- Ability to complete extensive in-house training program
- Participate in toolbox talks and field-level hazard assessments (FLHAs)
Role requirements
- Electrical Journeyman Certificate
- Splicing Experience
- Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience as a qualified electrician
- Knowledge of electrical heat trace (EHT) installations and commissioning
- CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), H2S Alive training
- Valid driver's license - Driving record check (abstract)
- High level Microsoft and computer skills required
- Familiarity with Procore or digital construction management software considered an asset
- Knowledge with Thermon EHT control systems an asset
- Understanding of Thermal Insulation systems an asset
- IRATA Rope Access Level 1,2,3
Personal Suitability

- Be able to work in an office and field environment
Salary: $46.50 per hour
