Westerner Park is seeking a full-time Marketing & Digital Media Coordinator to join its dynamic team. This is the perfect opportunity for a recent graduate or someone ready to take the next step in their marketing career.
The Marketing & Digital Media Coordinator will support the Marketing & Communications team by creating engaging visual content, maintaining web and social media platforms, assisting with digital campaigns, and boosting the visibility of Westerner Park’s brand and events. This role offers hands-on growth in digital platforms, content creation, and web design, ideal for someone organized, proactive, and passionate about creative digital storytelling in a collaborative environment.
Under the direction of the Assistant Marketing Manager, the Marketing & Digital Media Coordinator is responsible for the following:
- Design and produce digital content for web, email, and social media channels, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and event messaging.
- Create and maintain web pages using content management systems (e.g., WordPress), applying basic HTML/CSS and user-friendly layout practices.
- Assist with planning, writing, scheduling, and publishing content across social media platforms; monitor engagement and flag opportunities for improvement.
- Build and support email marketing campaigns using tools like Mailchimp or Constant Contact, including list segmentation and performance tracking.
- Assist with paid digital campaigns (e.g., Google Ads, Meta) by preparing creative assets and supporting campaign uploads and analytics.
- Conduct content audits and keyword research to support SEO best practices and improve website discoverability.
- Collaborate with internal departments and event teams to develop digital marketing materials and visual assets.
- Help manage digital asset files, photo/video libraries, and version control for shared resources.
- Track basic performance metrics (web traffic, social engagement, email opens) and contribute to monthly reporting dashboards.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and stay informed on emerging trends in digital marketing, design, and media consumption.
- This position is expected to adapt to changes and take on additional duties as required.

Here is what you bring:
- Post-secondary education in Marketing, Digital Media, Graphic Design, Communications, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, or digital media (including internships, volunteer roles, or academic projects).
- A portfolio of relevant design and digital work (e.g., school projects, personal work, internships).
- Familiarity with design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and, or Canva.
- Experience working with website CMSs like WordPress; basic HTML/CSS skills are an asset.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Later).
- Experience with email marketing platforms and analytics tools (e.g., Constant Contact, Google Analytics) is an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with a high level of organization and attention to detail.
- Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends during events or content capture opportunities.
