Job Description
- The driver will be covering a Night Linehaul run that starts in New Liskeard on Sunday with a 5:00 pm start, travel to Sudbury switch trailers and return to New Liskeard, unload freight and load Rouyn-Noranda freight and continue to Rouyn-Noranda unload and return to New Liskeard.
- Will be required to operate a forklift in house certification will be provided.
- The work schedule will be Sunday Evening to Friday morning, with a departure time of 5:00 pm nightly.
- Ensure timely and safe transportation of goods to designated destinations.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety and compliance.
- Adhere to all applicable transportation laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other drivers to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain a clean and organized truck cab and trailer.
Qualifications
- Class 1 or AZ license required.
- Ability to complete proper pre/post & inter trips.
- Knowledge of ELD (Electronic Logging Devices.)
- Knowledge of hours of service.
- Knowledge of load securement TDG & WHMIS
- Must be reliable, dependable, and hard working.
- Must have experience operating a forklift
- Must be able to provide a clean criminal record check, drivers abstract, and work related references.
