Career Centre Social Media Content Creator

The Career Centre Social Media Content Creator will work alongside Goodwill’s Career Centre team to generate ideas, create content (including photography, videography and graphic design), and help build on our social media marketing strategy. This role will play an important role in promoting Career Centre services and Goodwill's mission.

What You Will Do
- Support the social media needs of the Career Centre, primarily Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X).
- Create content and a posting/activity calendar for the year, following Goodwill’s marketing standards.
- Research social media trends to create more engaging content and provide recommendations to Career Centre overall social media strategy.
- Be a content creator - capture video/photography when required, and draft appropriate copies that resonates with the Career Centre social media followers.
- Work alongside the Career Centre, contributing to the Career Centre’s overall marketing strategy.
- Provide administrative support to the Career Centre team when required; including, photoshoot set up, collecting props, etc.
What We Are Looking For
- Enthusiastic attitude: excited to work with other people and teams.
- Flexibility: able to work at different times, including days, evenings, and weekends.
- We will help coach on these workplace skills:
- Communication: clear and effective interacting with team members and customers to create a positive workplace.
- Problem solving: finding solutions to problems, being accurate, and using simple math i.e. counting, adding and subtraction.
- Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment. Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
- Between 15-30 years of age at the start of employment.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree (or enrolled) in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Digital Marketing, or a related field is preferred
- Proficient with social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and/or LinkedIn
- Experience in creating social media content including reels/videos, photos, graphics and copywriting/captions
- Strong affinity to the Mission of Career Centre and Goodwill
- Proficient with Canva, MS Office; Word, Excel
- Excellent organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
- Support Goodwill's storytelling strategy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact with a wide-variety of individuals
