Position Summary
Brackendale Utilities is launching an exciting infrastructure improvement project involving the installation of underground utilities, electrical conduits, road paving, and sidewalk restoration. We’re looking for experienced Pipelayers to help bring this transformation to life.
Experience Level
3+ years experience
Primary Responsibilities and Duties
- Install underground utilities including water, sewer, and electrical conduits.
- Excavate and lay pipe systems in existing roadways with precision and safety.
- Read and interpret utility plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Work with various pipe materials such as PVC, HDPE, and concrete.
- Operate or assist with trenching and excavation equipment.
- Ensure proper use of trench boxes and other safety systems.
- Collaborate with crews to restore roads and sidewalks post-installation.
Qualifications
- Experience installing underground utilities such as water, sewer, and electrical conduits.
- Demonstrated ability to work safely and efficiently in existing roadways, with a strong understanding of the challenges and solutions involved in such environments.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting utility plans, blueprints, and construction drawings.
- Hands-on experience working with various pipe materials including PVC, HDPE, and concrete.
- Familiarity with trenching and excavation equipment, with knowledge of safe operation and coordination on active job sites.
- Experience in restoring sidewalks and roads following utility installation, ensuring quality and compliance with municipal standards.
- Knowledge and practical use of trench boxes and other protective systems in excavation work.
Requirements
- Able to meet all physical requirements.
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload
- Observe and comply with all safety and project rules. Performs other duties as required.
