What Trail Needs:
Reporting to the Senior Credit Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of the Credit Department, which includes managing the Supplier Claims and assigned terms portfolios (Single Family, Apartment Replacement, Retail Net 30). You will evaluate credit requests through research and analysis and make recommendations in a timely fashion.
You will have daily contact with other departments within the organization, as well as applicants and finance sources. You will have the ability to build relationships with both internal and external customers, is detail oriented, and have excellent time management skills.
This role is on-site at our head office located in Richmond.

What you will be doing:

Undertaking comprehensive credit investigations for eventual adjudication and mitigation

Collecting and safeguarding the assigned receivables
-
Interfacing with suppliers per timely turnover and resolution of claims.

Building and retention of sustainable relationships with internal and external customers
-
Attending customer meetings and visitations as required
-
Training other departments per credit related issues and policies
-
Working in concert with other teams to achieve Trail’s interests.

Reviewing and approving POs, quotes, terms, and conditions
-
Monitoring and enforcing adherence to Trail’s prescribed policies.

Other duties as assigned.
What you bring:

Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage a heavy workload.

Demonstrate ability to exercise appropriate analytical and judgement skills required when dealing with moderately complex procedures and situations when dealing with customers.

Strong account/project reconciliation skills
-
Oversee cash posting, and provide coverage as necessitated.

Excellent oral and written communication skills
-
Highly motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment.

CCP - Certified Credit Professional – an asset
-
College Diploma preferred.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
-
Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy
-
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Bonus Points…

Experience in the retail industry preferred.

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Strong project planning is an asset.

$70,000 - $80,000 a year
