Key Responsibilities and Duties Work collaboratively as a team member and perform manual labor for the duration of the shift. Assist the site supervisor or Blaster in Charge with the materials and equipment needs and help collect supplies as requested. Use material handling equipment and tools including shovels, hand tools, power tools and work around heavy construction equipment. Maintain a clean, safe working environment and report any employee, customer or safety concerns to the Blaster in Charge or Location Manager. Other duties as needed and trained on Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Ability to work non-traditional first shift hours generally starting early. This position involves being outside in all weather conditions, lifting and carrying 23kg of product and other materials, and frequently squatting and bending. Perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply and divide) to count inventory, verify inventory Ability to work outside in all weather conditions Strong team-oriented mentality Ability to read and interpret documents, product information, maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Able to learn to identify products by classification through visible inspection. Qualifications Class G license Requires a fit person who can handle lifting as necessary Involves daily physical labor as well as periodic shop days and duties that are expected from all employees. Clean driver abstract Must meet requirements of all Provincial and Federal explosive laws and qualify as an ERD explosive possessor Able to pass security screening (Criminal record check) Able to pass post offer pre-employment functional abilities evaluation Able to pass post offer pre-employment and random drug screenings Work Environment and Physical Demands This position involves working outdoors in all weather conditions, lifting and carrying approximately 23 kg. and doing a variety of hands-on physical tasks utilizing material handling equipment, safety equipment and hand tools.
