About the role
T. Musselman Excavating is a local growing excavating company that is looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as a tri-axel driver. If you have dump truck experience, enjoy a positive work environment and working outdoors this job may be right for you. This position is available immediately.
Salary: $28-$32, dependent on experience
Hours: 45-60 hours a week

Responsibilities

Operate dump truck to haul material from local pits to designated job sites.

Safely deliver, unload, and handle materials as directed.
-
Complete and maintain accurate records for time tracking and job costing.
-
Submit daily timesheets with supporting documentation in a timely manner.
-
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with regulations.
-
Report truck breakdowns, defects, or safety concerns promptly through the proper channels.
-
Fuel and clean truck at the end of each shift.
-
Work outdoors in various weather conditions, as required.
-
Follow all company health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
-
Provide reliable transportation to and from the truck shop.
-
Wear and maintain require personal protective equipment (PPE).
-
Other duties as reasonable assigned by your manager.
Desired Skills and Experience

Minimum of 3 years of insured dump truck driving experience.
-
Valid DZ license held for at least three years, with a clean driving record.
-
Proven commitment to safety and adhere to safe work practices.
-
Reliable team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Ability to work independently and follow direction with minimal supervision.
-
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, sitting for extended periods of time, and safely entering/exiting trucks multiple times per shift.

Punctual, professional, and dependable in all work environments.
-
Familiarity with local and regional roads, job sites, and pit locations.

Basic mechanical knowledge to identify and report equipment issues
-
Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends when required.
-
Experience operating other heavy equipment considered an asset.
